He has composed this image with the subjects being the main focus of the image, being in the middle third of the image. It looks as if he used the rule of thirds when composing this image as the subjects are in the middle of the image. He is able to communicate the subject well as there is little happening around the subjects of the image, plain backgrounds. The holes in the door frame also create another frame inside of the image and give more frame and focus to the subjects of the image.

Henri Cartier-Bresson
Henri Cartier-Bresson believed that photography is a talent which you build on by looking at sculptures and paintings. All his life he shaped his brain by looking at art in galleries. Framing is an important part of Cartier-Bresson's work. The framing of photography was something that came naturally to him because of this extensive research he has done all his life.
"To him, it was clear that you take a photo in a fraction of a second; he liked to say like a thief, like a street merchant that doesn’t have the right to be there and gets thrown out by the police."
"He was often asked what the camera mean to him and he would say it could be a kiss, it could be a knife cut or a psychoanalyst’s armchair.."
